Hello there. My name is Matthew Olding.
A little History
Although I have been in the graphic design industry since 1999, the love of creating started 6 years earlier as I started in a career as a craftsman of fine furniture. But after 5 years of creating one off designer pieces it was time for a change.
Being introduced to digital prepress and the print industry by my Father, I knew right away that this was the place I wanted to be. Over a decade in the industry has equipped me with sought after experience in pre-press, retouching, design, advertising, project management and given me the privilege of working with international and domestic brands to produce engaging campaigns and quality products. In time it was my turn to have the privilege of mentoring the up and coming talent during some of my more recent engagements.
The beginning of 2009 brought with it the decision to lay down the title of ‘Senior Designer’ to sail into the uncharted waters of being an ‘Independent Design Professional’, a move that has proved to offer some interesting challenges but ultimately a more creative and rewarding vocational experience. Two years on the future looks bright indeed.
